Norwest Women's Premier Team looking to build for the 2017 campaign.

After two successful seasons in the NRFL Premier League and cementing their place in the highest level of club competition Head Coach, and club's Director of Coaching, Chris Acott is looking to build on the hard work which has led to the clubs third season in the competition.

"We are actively recruiting for the 2017 campaign as we look to challenge and break in to the higher places in the league. We have a terrific environment and core group of players at the club and it is now important to further strengthen and have good depth to our squad which will only help over the course of the season both in league play but also in trainings. We have already seen in past seasons having age group international representatives and full Fern international players like Erin Nayler as an example involved at Norwest is terrific for all players involved to play and train alongside this calibre of player and shows the direction in which the club is heading. We have also just recently seen three Norwest players represent New Zealand at the Women's Under 20 World Cup which is a great achievement for the players and for the club," says Acott.

"What is also exciting to see is that we have some terrific youth teams and players coming through the club so hopefully we will have good support from players breaking in to senior mould as they go through their football education at the younger age groups. Hopefully by the time they reach the senior environment they will be technically and tactically astute to transfer in to the senior environment seamlessly. The clubs female junior, youth, senior pathway is in a very good place at the moment," says Acott.
