Norwest Skills Centre kicked into action

  Dec 2, 2016   callum

Norwest United Football Club is proud to be one of the first clubs across the country to roll out the new Skills Centre Programme which is an initiative accredited by New Zealand Football

The programme will provide players with a sound learning platform for them to acquire and develop good footballing habits. Our Skills Centre will be the first step on the ladder for boys and girls to further their Football Education and to enhance their game in a fun but challenging environment provided by the clubs accredited coaches.

Each session is broken down in to 4 elements. Skill Arrival - Skill Introduction - Skill Training - Skill Game. Players will learn a specific core skill at each session which they will then develop throughout their practice culminating in games so they can put into practice their learning in a game environment.

The programme is for Junior age group players 9th Grade to 12th Grade and will run on Monday's over 8 weeks at the beginning of each school term.
