Our Story

Norwest United AFC is a semi-professional association football club in west Auckland, New Zealand and was founded in 1984.

The club has a large number of midgets, junior and youth teams for both boys and girls and we have fantastic support catering for all of these teams by our volunteer coaches, managers and co-ordinators. We work hard to provide clear pathways for our players to help fulfil their aspirations as a football player and we now have a number of senior players who have come through the club as a youngster to represent Norwest in Senior first teams.

We work hard to provide quality coaching and support to all of our players through Norwest Coaching Programmes and have become one of the first clubs in the country to run the official skills centre programme which is accredited by New Zealand Football

In the senior environment we currently have 8 senior teams ranging from first teams, social and veteran teams. We are proud as a club that weather you are 5 years old or 55 years old we can cater for you in a team which is best suited for your needs.

Our Senior Women's Team play in the highest level of club competition in Auckland (NRFL) and since moving to the premier league the team has had in its ranks international and New Zealand age group representative players represent Norwest.

Norwest is proud to recently receive from NFF the 'Quality Club Mark' award which aims to promote continuous improvement in the way football is delivered by adopting quality standards of practice. Click here for the story.

As the club continues to grow it is important that we can provide the best possible service for all club members. We rely on volunteers and our committee to deliver this standard. We are always looking for help and support so if you would like to help support our club as its continues to grow please contact us.

Norwest United Sponsorship Support

As our club continues to grow we require support to cater for all of our members to make sure we can give them the best possible experience when playing football for Norwest United. There are a number of ways you can do this...

Main Club Sponsor

If your business would like to be the main club sponsor for Norwest United Football Club we would be able to offer you the following accreditation with the club:

  • From 2018 you can become main sponsor on all playing shirts across the whole club
  • Company logo on both our first team's for Men's and Women's playing kits (For 2017)
  • Your Company logo on the front of the clubrooms (outside)
  • Your Company logo inside the clubrooms
  • Acknowledgement in all first team post match speeches
  • Signage for game days
  • Field naming and acknowledgement at Norwest 10th Grade Invitational Tournament
  • Happy to discuss other areas where we can utilise your company name

500 Club

If your business would like to support Norwest you can join our 500 Club. By donating $500 you are helping the club financially by utilising your donation in to areas like coach education, club upkeep, playing kit and equipment, coaching roles etc. If you would like your donation to be placed in to something specific we are happy to discuss.

All members of the 500 club will acknowledged on our 500 club wall which will be in the clubrooms.

Team Sponsor

If your business would like to sponsor a specific team weather it be a Senior, Youth or Junior Team you are welcome to enquire. You would have your company logo placed on the playing kit and any training or travel kit which you wish to utilise as well. This is for the 2017 season. In 2018 you would be able to place your company logo on any training and travel kit.


We have roughly 7 committee members looking after over 1000 club members. We have a lot of people to look after. By volunteering your help in to various area you would be helping to lighten the load and provide a great service to our club. You do not necessarily have to become a committee member but be on hand to help with particular roles which the club need help with on and off season
